Museums Galleries Scotland - the new name and branding for the Scottish Museums Council - is the lead body for the advocacy, funding and development of over 340 museums and galleries in Scotland. We represent and advise our membership, which includes local authorities, independent trusts, regimental trusts, universities and National Collections. We are a strategic agency and an independent charitable trust acting as the main channel for the Scottish Government's funding to the sector.
